Still Photography

I use the term Still Photography to describe images from objects that I took in my home studio. It is a very good technique to practice with lightning and there is much awesome stuff to try. This is where most of my pictures end up in my computer’s trash bin, but it is a lot of fun!

This type of photography requires some ideas and research. With the internet full of resources there is always something useful to build on the idea. Then there are more and more people sharing techniques. In the end, it enlarges the photographic knowledge and it is always intense and enriching. Even when nothing comes out.

With all the resources available, when I got an idea, I always try to find either something similar or a technique that can help me to build the idea. Then, step by step and with many mistakes, the final picture is taking shape. Sometimes I end up with a more interesting thing than initially expected.
